Your donation is essential as we add build more features and maintain the app. Technology comes with a high price as we must pay for :
Development Costs: Some development tools have been purchased while others are subscription based and must be paid for monthly. Keep UP Now is a very complicated app with two different user groups and multiple features. Paying a company to build this app would have normally cost $60k-150k.
Licenses: App store licenses must be purchased in order to display Keep UP Now on the app stores and domain URLs must also be paid for annually.
Server Costs: With updates, prayer letters, and pictures from missionaries, Keep UP Now uses a lot of data. There are fees every time that data is read by a user or uploaded by a missionary. They are not substantial for a single read/write, but it adds up quickly!
Cloud Services: As word spreads and more people start using Keep UP Now, it will also be important to utilize cloud platforms for scalable storage, faster data access, and efficient performance. That extra performance also comes with an increased price tag however.
Keep UP Now is a work of love that I have undertaken to help my father (who is a missionary) and other missionaries who are in such desperate need of our prayers. I am not a developer and have learned app development as I was building Keep UP Now. I also have a day job to provide for my family so I am limited in how much time I can dedicate to the development of new features and the maintenance of Keep UP Now. I would love to be able to dedicate more time to properly develop this application and keep making it more valuable for missionaries and praying Christians alike.
